approach the entry doors of St. Peter’s they are struck by its architectural beauty. Inside, the sanctuary inspires a peacefilled reverence. Our doors and our hearts are open to all. Our Father teaches that we are to welcome everyone crossing our path as we would welcome Jesus, for Christ often comes to us as a stranger. As St. Benedict taught, "All guests who present themselves are to be welcomed as Christ Himself."
is a wonderful mix of people with divergent backgrounds and viewpoints, united together in a common love of God and our neighbors.
there are people at St. Peter's with whom you'll connect. We're old and young, single, married, have kids, don't have kids; we're divorced, remarried, widowed and empty nester's. We're white, black, hispanic. Some of us are life long Episcopalians but many of us come from other churches. We were Catholics, Methodists, Lutherans, Baptists. You get the picture!
there are some just now figuring out who we are and what it means to follow Christ. Others are maturing in faith, discovering how to use our gifts and talents to serve the Lord. A precious few have seasoned in Christ and thankfully share reflections on what they have done and have been .
As a community of believers we come together in faith and fellowship. If you are a visitor, we hope you’ll see that St. Peter’s is an instrument used to encounter the living God. And, of course, if you are already part of our church family, thank you for the love and labor that allows us to realize the kingdom of God here, now.
as we discover God’s will for our lives.
as God’s Spirit guides us toward loving unity with each other.
as we learn to go forth and live the Gospel.
St. Peter’s is a place of welcome where we can be ourselves, celebrate our individuality and know that we are loved.
