Prayer Request for The Family of Marshall Turley On Thursday, July 29, 2010, Marshall Turley passed from this earth and into the hands of his Savior. St. Peter's Church would like to request daily prayers for Marshall's wife Sandra Turley, their family and friends. Sandra is the Director of Music for St. Peter's Church. "Depart, O Christian soul, out of this world; In the name of God the Father Almighty who created you; In the name of Jesus Christ who redeemed you; In the Name of the Holy Spirit who sanctifies you. May your rest be this day in peace, and your dwelling place in the Paradise of God." "Into you hands, O merciful Savior, we commend your servant Marshall. Acknowledge, we humbly beseech you, a sheep of your own fold, a lamb of your own flock, a sinner of your own redeeming. Receive Marshall into the arms of your mercy, into the blessed rest of everlasting peace, and into the glorious company of the saints in light. Amen." "May Marshall's soul and the soul of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen." Book of Common Prayer, At the Time of Death WELCOME TO ST. PETER'S CHURCH You are invited to be a part of our parish! St. Peter's Church is a house of prayer for all people. We are a wonderful mix with divergent backgrounds and viewpoints, united in a common love of God and our neighbors. Chances are there are people at St. Peter's with whom you'll connect. We're old and young, single, married, have kids, don't have kids; we're married, divorced, remarried, widowed and empty nester's. Some of us are life long Episcopalians. However, some of us were Catholics, Methodists, Lutherans, Baptists. You get the picture! In our faith journey, there are some just now figuring out who they are and what it means to follow Christ. Others are maturing in faith, discovering how to use their gifts and talents to serve the Lord. A precious few have seasoned in Christ and, thankfully, share reflections on what they have done and where they have been. So, it's the people! As a community of believers we come together in faith and fellowship. You will see that St. Peter's is an instrument used to encounter the living God. Come! Join us as we discover God's will for our lives. Worship Schedule Summer Schedule Holy Eucharist 9:00 AM followed by Coffee Hour in the Parlor |
